Description
Buddypress uses the Full Name core field to sort alphabetically or by letter the members.
But maybe you are using this field as a “nickname” field…
Use this plugin to replace the members names by their real names !
Sorting members will also work following their real name.

Installation
- Install the plugin into the plugin directory, and activate it site-wide
- Create three news fields that will be used by the plugins (ex. “Member name”, “Member firstname”, “Member bothnames”). I suggest “Member name” to be a required field.
- Fill the values of those fields for your profile (the datas for at least one member are needed to setup the plugin options)
- Setup the Real Names plugin options in the admin menu, under the BuddyPress panel.

Hi!
Thanks for a great idea. However there seem to be a slight prroblem with the plugin. It doesn’t hide the full name field from the registration page, which means it both asks for the first name, last name and both names. This seems a bit wierd to the user, so I was wondering if there is any way to edit that away?

But there is a bug in my buddypress now and I can’t see the registration page.
Could you give me the link of your buddypress registration page so I can check this out ?
